Maundy Thursday – 16th April

​

Arrive between 3pm and 4pm where you will be warmly welcomed with a traditional Devonshire cream tea, served either in our inviting lounge or dining room, with sweeping views of the East Dart river and valley beyond.

​

Come the evening, delight in a 3 course culinary experience, artfully crafted from the finest local ingredients for a delicious introduction to your stay.

 

Good Friday – 17th April

​

Awaken to gentle morning light and an elegant breakfast selection, featuring fruit and a choice of cereals. Then choose from a selection of cooked options, maybe a full Devonshire breakfast or a lighter option such as smoked salmon with scrambled eggs.

​

Spend your day at leisure and if you are back at Lydgate House between 3pm and 4pm, you can enjoy sumptuous hot cross buns complemented by a choice of teas or freshly brewed coffee.

As evening draws in we invite you to a refined 3 course fish dinner, presented in our intimate dining room. Alternative menu options are also available.

 

Saturday – 18th April

Wake up to a leisurely breakfast, the perfect time for mapping out your day of exploration. Where there’s plenty to throughout the day on and off the moor. 

​

If you happen to be around between 3pm and 4pm, we will be serving delicious homemade Easter biscuits with tea or coffee in the lounge. 

​

Complete your day with a thoughtfully curated 3 course dinner, highlighting the flavours of Dartmoor.

 

Easter Sunday – 19th April

​

Greet the day with breakfast of your choice, maybe today is a delicately prepared cheese and mushroom omelette or a Full Devonshire Breakfast.Plan and fuel up for your day's adventures.

​

Allow the quiet allure of Dartmoor’s timeless villages to beckon you or take a walk and “Pause a while” whilst you take in the boundless landscape of the moor..

​

Between 3pm and 4pm we will serve Simnel cake in the welcoming glow of our guest lounge with your choice of tea or coffee offering a soothing interlude.

​

In the evening, let us enchant you with Lydgate’s Roast Duo, succulent local roast lamb and pork served with all the classic trimmings,indulge and enjoy being looked after. 

 

Easter Monday – 20th April

​

Rise to another leisurely breakfast, perhaps it’s time to indulge in soft poached eggs and potato rosti or Mushrooms on sourdough toast - choose whatever you wish from our wide choice of breakfasts available.

Venture out and witness Dartmoor in full bloom or visit one of our exquisite local gardens, such as The Garden House in Yelverton or Stone Lane Gardens in Chagford. It’s time to embrace the vibrant beauty of spring!

Enjoy our Lydgate Luscious Chocolate Cake between 3pm and 4pm served in our lounge accompanied by a selection of teas or freshly brewed coffee. 

​

As the evening draws in, indulge in a sumptuous 3 course evening meal.

 

Tuesday – 21st April

Revel in your final breakfast, where we will ensure every last moment of your stay is just as elegant as the first.
